§ 1. Connection and miscellaneous fees.

  • The following fees are established for connections and inspected by the city inspector:

    1.1.

    Electrical.

    Lights, switches and receptacles
    First ten outlets (each) $0.50
    Additional outlets (each) 0.25
    Window air conditioning units (each) 2.00
    Clothes dryers (each) 2.00
    Water or air heaters (each) 2.00
    Ranges (each) 2.00
    Tube lighting
    First three 2.00
    Next seven 1.00
    Fractional HP motors (each) 1.00
    1 to 5 HP motors 2.00
    Over 5 HP motors (each) 2.00
    Electrical signs (each) 10.00
    Gasoline pumps (each) 2.00
    Installation or replacement of service
    Entrance or distribution panel

    1.2.

    Gas.

    Minimum inspection of 1 to 4 outlets $5.00

    1.3.

    Plumbing.

    1.4.

    Sewer connection. Permits and fees for sewer taps shall be as follows:

    4-inch tap $  450.00
    6-inch tap    850.00
    8-inch tap  1,150.00
    Industrial tap The actual cost of labor and materials
    If cutting of or boring under a street is necessary, prior approval must be given by the mayor and board of aldermen. The mayor and board in conjunction with the public works director and city engineer shall establish the fee therefor on a case-by-case basis.

     

    1.5.

    Miscellaneous fees.

    Rezoning application $150.00
    Variance request 25.00
    Garage sales estate sales permit 5.00
    Zoning letter (after first letter) 20.00
    Fence permit 20.00
    Occupancy permit 10.00

     

    1.6

    Roofing replacement.

    Replace more than 25% of existing roof $25.00
    Proof of legal disposal of roofing material must be provided to the housing inspector.
