§ 52-228. Unauthorized persons prohibited from operating.

No person shall cause, authorize or knowingly permit his child or ward to operate a vehicle as described in this article on the streets of the city when such minor is not authorized to do so under the laws of the state and no person shall authorize or knowingly permit any such vehicle owned by him or under his control to be driven upon any of the streets of the city by any person who is not authorized to do so under the laws of the state.
