§ 76. CLERK TO KEEP SEAL, MINUTES, RECORDS.
The clerk of this municipality shall be the custodian of the seal of this municipality which shall be provided and adopted by the mayor and board of aldermen and he shall be the custodian and keeper of the minutes of the mayor and board of aldermen and he shall record the proceedings and orders, ordinances, and judgments of the mayor and board of aldermen and shall keep the same fully indexed alphabetically so that all entries on said minutes can be easily found and he shall keep all other books and records as may be provided for by ordinance and shall file in his office and preserve all records and papers pertaining to the business of this municipality (except his own official bond) and his office shall be in the city hall and his office hours may be fixed by an order of the mayor and board of aldermen.
